DogAbility is an innovative canine-assisted therapy program that allows participants to engage in different activities with the animals to encourage, entertain and stimulate the lives of those with and without special needs in the local community.
DogAbility offers various programs that are specifically tailored to the individual’s needs. The program also runs a Fear of Dogs program for children and adults that have chosen not to have a dog due to allergies or lifestyle. The program works to assist those that are terrified of dogs, try to avoid them at all costs and as a result, their fear affects their daily interactions with others. DogAbility offers classes with highly-trained and friendly dogs so that the participant can begin to become acclimated to dogs and begin to dispel their fears and prejudices of the species.
